Going to Affiliate Summit, what do you want to get out of it?

I’m leaving tomorrow for Vegas and the Affiliate Summit. Looking forward to seeing everyone I met from the last one in Boston. I’ll be writing some recaps here and on the Affiliate Summit blog (as far as I know that hasn’t changed). I have different goals this time around. I’m already associated with a lot of good affiliate networks, almost too many to keep up with, so I’m not looking to do business with more. I’m looking to network with some more publishers and spread my name around a bit more. I might start pitching the upcoming newsletters and my book that’s coming out - I already have an ad about it in the latest issue of FeedFront, which will be available at Affiliate Summit. So the If you’re going, come up and say hello to me.

Question for you - If you are going to Affiliate Summit, what do you want to get out of it?

My goals have yet to be defined, and I'm sitting at the airport waiting for my flight right now! Networking is always a plus, as is making new business contacts.

I think this time around my primary goal is to put the New Edge Media business cards I just finally got into the hands to as many interested people as possible!

Michael,

When I left home my plan was to attend every possible seminar to learn everything I could.

Once I arrived at ASW09 I realized the networking with other attendees was equally as important!

As a first timer, I was overwhelmed with the whole event and didn't get to half the seminars I planned. Luckily they were all videoed and I'll be able to watch later - heh heh.

It was a all a huge learning experience for me and I will be better prepared next year!

It was almost the same for me at my first Affilaite Summit in Boston. I went to maybe two sessions and spent most of my time networking and forming relationships with merchants, networks and other affiliates. I've been to tow of them now and each was fantastic for business and growing my own personal brand. It was great meeting you inthe Bloghaus too. I have so much work to do now!
