Twitter

Darren Rowse at ProBlogger posted about the benefits of Twitter. It looks like he’s just getting used to it but he has some really good ideas regarding how to use Twitter.

Twitter is for staying in touch and keeping up with friends no matter where you are or what you’re doing. For some friends you might want instant mobile updates—for others, you can just check the web. Invite your friends to Twitter and decide how connected you want you to be.

I haven’t used my Twitter account in a few months, but I’ve been rethinking it lately. Twitter could be used as a great marketing tool. I’ve seen someone use it to sell books via affiliate links. She posts the first line of a novel so it’s like a game for bibliophiles. There’s also a restaurant using it to post the lunch specials.

I think Twitter can be used as marketing tool to help your brand, get new customers and stay in touch with current customers. Darren points out some more benefits such as quick marketing research and networking.

This is my Twitter account. Do you have one?
